EDUCATION & TRAINING

Through training, continuing education, and consulting for individuals and employers, the Workforce & Economic Development Division (WEDD) designs and delivers programs that respond to the needs of individuals, employers, communities, and economic development agencies with a flexible delivery format that allows for customized solutions.
Our Primary Focus

The primary focus of WEDD is to address the needs of four main categories of the region's workforce:

  1. Emerging (just entering the workforce),

  2. Existing (needing to upgrade skills),

  3. Entrepreneurial (for small business development), and

  4. Transitional (moving from one industry to another).
